Refund Policy

Defsound Labs provides digital software products, including plugins, software applications, licenses, updates, and related digital goods.

Because these products are delivered electronically and cannot be physically returned, all sales are generally final once the product has been purchased and access, download, or license delivery has been made available.

For purchases made through our online store, checkout, payment processing, taxes, and invoicing may be handled by FastSpring, which may act as the Merchant of Record for the transaction.

Refunds may be considered only in the following cases:

  • You were charged more than once for the same order.
  • You were charged incorrectly due to a technical or billing error.
  • The product file is corrupted or cannot be downloaded, and we are unable to provide a working replacement within a reasonable period.
  • The product has a major technical defect that prevents normal use as described, and the issue cannot be resolved after reasonable support has been provided.

Refunds will not be provided for the following:

  • Change of mind.
  • Accidental purchase after completing checkout.
  • Incompatibility with your system caused by requirements or compatibility limitations that were clearly stated before purchase.
  • Lack of product knowledge, workflow preference, or expectation mismatch.
  • Requests made after the product has been successfully delivered and is functioning as described.

If a free trial, demo, or evaluation version is available for a product, we strongly recommend using it before purchase.

  • screenshots, logs, or error details where relevant

We may ask for additional information in order to investigate the issue.

If a refund is approved, it will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

Where FastSpring acts as Merchant of Record, approved transaction refunds may be processed through FastSpring or through the original payment method associated with the order.

Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider, payment method, and financial institution.

Nothing in this policy limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
